More Info

Slovenia is a small country in Central Europe, with a short coastline to the Adriatic Sea. Over half of its territory is covered by meadows and forests, while the mountainous areas lie to the northwest. Often overlooked when traveling through Europe, Slovenia is fast-growing as a top destination among outdoor lovers. Less crowds, breathtaking natural sceneries, lower prices and a broad offer of all-year-round activities, make it a truly gem. Besides, Slovenia has a strong winemaking tradition, including the world’s oldest vine in the city of Maribor.

The northwest of Slovenia has an Alpine weather, with mild temperatures during summer (including occasional storms) and very cold temperatures in the winter season. Spring and autumn provide pleasant weather conditions. The Adriatic coast has a Mediterranean weather: hot summers and pleasant temperatures even in winter.

Getting there

Regular flights from many European cities arrive to Jože Pučnik Airport in Ljubljana. Those traveling to the Slovenian coast generally fly to Trieste (Italy) and then reach the country by bus. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Exhilarating experience with very competent guides who cared enough to guide and teach as well as have fun! Hearing of Mitja’s experience and adventures created confidence and respect in the team. I highly recommend! Worth every penny or shall I say euros!😊

We had an unexpected change at the last minute; Mitja was unavailable and thus his friend Rok Zalokar guided us. Rok is an amazing guide! Everything went for the best. He even went rock climbing with us the afternoon after the descent.

Blaz was an incredible guide! Was very informative about the history behind the area and did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed for a great climb! Took so many pictures of us along the way and was a delight to speak with all the way!
