Switzerland has a temperate climate. During winter, most of the country receives generous snowfalls. Summers can be quite humid and warm. Autumn is usually cool and dry, and spring is idyllic, full of flowers and with warm temperatures.
Conveniently located in the heart of Europe, getting to Switzerland is pretty easy. The main international airports are at Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Bern and Lugano. Trains arrive from all parts of Europe daily and often in hourly intervals. You could also get there by bus, although the most scenic way to arrive is by ferry, if you are coming from Italy, France or Germany.
