Monte Rosa es un impresionante macizo cubierto de hielo ubicado en los Alpes. Se encuentra justo en la frontera entre Suiza e Italia. Su pico principal es Dufourspitze. Y tiene otros cinco magníficos picos subsidiarios: Signalkuppe, Zumsteinspitze, Nordend, Dunantspitze y Grenzgipfel.

Este increíble macizo es el pico más alto en Suiza. Con 4,634 metros de altura, también es el más alto de los Alpes Peninos.

El terreno que rodea a Monte Rosa es famoso por todos sus glaciares. De hecho, es una de las mayores áreas de glaciares en Suiza, Italia y toda la región de los Alpes. Por lo tanto, visitaremos muchos de ellos a lo largo de nuestro viaje.

Dos de los increíbles puntos destacados en esta excursión son el Glaciar Findel y el Paso del Cuerno. Pero habrá muchas otras sorpresas esperándonos. ¡Permíteme guiarte a través de estos paisajes invernales que parecen sacados de un sueño!

Otra gran cosa acerca de esta área es que incluso durante los primeros días del verano, continúa cayendo nieve fresca. Debido a los glaciares alrededor, la zona permanece fría. Itinerario

Día 1: Zermatt

Nos encontraremos en el punto designado. Luego, disfrutaremos de una deliciosa cena en el hotel en Zermatt.

Día 2: Breithorn

En este día tomarás un teleférico hacia el Klein Matterhorn. Entonces ascenderemos el Breithorn (4156 m). Además, esquiaremos a través de Schwarztorstrasse hacia el Refugio Monte Rosa. (2883 m).

Día 3: Ludwigshöhe-Duforspitze

Este día estará lleno de aventuras. Esquiaremos hacia Ludwigshöhe (4341 m) o Duforspitze. Entonces, un impresionante descenso nos llevará directamente de vuelta al Refugio Monte Rosa.

Día 4: Cabanna Margherita

Bordearemos el glaciar y llegaremos al refugio más alto de los Alpes, el Cabanna Margherita (4554m). Y volveremos al Refugio Monte Rosa.

Día 5: Glaciar Findel hacia Zermatt

En nuestro último día nos dirigiremos hacia el Glaciar Findel, pasando el paso Sockhorn. Luego, te guiaré de regreso a Zermatt.

I love the mountains and they have been my destiny and my passion for more than 20 years now!
Everyday I feel a big gratitude to work in this outstanding landscapes and being able to inspire my clients - we always have a good time together and make it a unique experience!

I am based in Schaffhausen, a nice historic town in the north of Switzerland and the area of lake constance. From here we have all options, whether it be one-day-trips to eastern- and central alps or whole journeys to foreign countries.

My second base is the small town of Arolla, Valais - all high peaks of the alps are around this area. It is exactly between Zermatt and Chamonix, a perfect place to be...I love the contrast of the different cities!

Together with my team and friends from BERIE alpine school we want to invite you to join our climbs and skiing trips or our trekking trips around the world. In high altitude mountains, I have lot of experience, working many years in this game with well-established partners, for example as guide on Mount Everest (Summit success 2003 with 7 members).

In my program you will find fine mountain journeys with or without skis. We will offer you not just the climb and a summit successes! Mountains are not gyms!

To get in touch with the local people and to understand their way of life and history is an important part of my philosophy. Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
