Es un placer invitarte a una excursión de medio día de senderismo y barranquismo por la ruta de los Cahorros, en Monachil.

Monachil nos ofrece la posibilidad de cruzar el espectacular cañón del Río Monachil. Se eleva entre impresionantes paredes de más de 50m conectadas entre sí por puentes colgantes. Esos puentes nos transportarán a un punto de vista completamente diferente de Granada.

Las principales razones por las que me encantaría llevarte allí son:

Las mejores calizas para los amantes de la escalada;
Piscinas donde nadar;
Pequeñas cuevas realmente misteriosas;
Una vegetación desbordante.

Monachil está muy cerca del centro de la ciudad de Granada. Sin embargo, la distancia de transferencia puede variar entre 8 y 16 kilómetros. Dependerá de las prioridades del grupo. En mi opinión, deberíamos pasar al menos medio día disfrutando de este lugar. Hay muchas actividades al aire libre para hacer en Monachil. Podemos dar un paseo, tomar fotos únicas o simplemente disfrutar de un paisaje tan grande.

Por favor, ten en cuenta que necesitarás ropa cómoda y unas buenas botas de senderismo. El material de seguridad y más técnico, si es necesario, será proporcionado por mí.

I'm a lover of adventure sports, with 23 years of experience in almost all its modalities. My passion is climbing, although my profession is more focused on another of my passions: the canyoning. I'm ICOpro Instructor (the only one in Spain), which allows me to join my two passions, sport and teaching.

Es hat wirklich viel Spaß gemacht! Und auch wenn ich etwas ängstlich bin, habe ich mich immer sicher und in guten Händen gefühlt. Die Sprünge sind wirklich nicht verpflichtend, aber die Gruppe ("La Familia") hat mir Mut gemacht und ich habe mir alles zugetraut :) Man kann auch immer erst einmal schauen, wie es die anderen machen ;) Die Guides geben einem stets die Möglichkeit, einen anderen Weg zu gehen. Das war jedoch nicht nötig. Wichtig: Unbedingt die Packliste ansehen! Schuhe für's Wasser sind verpflichtend und Wechselschuhe für danach sind wirklich gut. Wenn der Van geparkt hat, geht's in Badesachen etwa 45min bergauf bevor man die Wetsuits anzieht und das Canyoning startet. Good to know: Die Guides haben eine wasserfeste GoPro dabei, um Fotos von der Tour und der Gruppe in Action zu machen ;)

Booked half day Via Ferrata - it turned out to be 1.5 hours via Ferrata and 1.5 hours travelling. Was disappointed with the amount of time actually doing the activity

More information required from Rafa before the trip - we did not know that we would have to drive for 30 mins off-road to get to the start point. We were in a hire car and I was very concerned about damaging the car. We also had 21 people in our group - this is far too many. The trip took about 7 hours because we moved so slowly with so many people.

Rafa, is a terrific guide. My family had a fantastic time on the via feratta route he took us on in Archidona. I found Rafa to be professional, friendly, client-centered and safe. You will have to initiate the majority of the contact, but the experience is likely to be the highlight of your trip to southern Spain. I plan on recontacting Rafa when we are next in the area. He provides all the needed equipment.
