Description

I highly recommend Yuichi as a mountain guide for climbing mount Fuji. When we first arrived in Fujiyoshida, it was overcast and we were worried we wouldn't be able to get the views we hoped for. However, behind the scenes, Yuichi had the foresight to schedule our climb around the cloud forecast, so we summited mount Fuji when skies were clear. Yuichi was punctual with our pickup and communicated with us prior to ensure we were all on the same page.

Yuichi had all the equipment you would need for the climb available for rent. His English is excellent and he had a lot of interesting knowledge on the mountain.

My friend that I was climbing with experienced altitude sickness and needed to take a break from summitting. This happened at the 8th station, approximately 3,100m above sea level. Yuichi was patient and kind about the situation and had no problems waiting for my friend to re-regulate. Yuichi was comforting and empathetic which was greatly appreciated by my friend.

Yuichi was a positive and fun-spirited person to be around. My friend and I are extremely grateful we got to experience this climb. I wish I could give 7 stars. 5

it was great overall, the communication and process , just wished the guide wouldve made it more memorable by being more interactive,, it was a solo trip for me so it wouldve been cool if he took random videos or snap shots of me doing the hike.. afterall its a once in a lifetime type of thing for us not from Japan to do this... but other than that great guide.

Tim

Yuichi was an amazing guide. He was professional in every way. He knew the mountain, the route and everything that we needed to do to be safe and have a great ascent. He made sure that we did not climb too fast and waited extra time , without resistance, when members of our team need more rest. He answered all of our questions and chatted with us both in transit and on the trail. Finally he was encouraging yet not judgemental when a member got abit tired.
