Scafell Pike is the highest peak in England (978m) and is located in the beautiful Lake District National Park. An area abound with mountain views, lakes and lush green valleys, an ascent to Scafell Pike is truly a feast for the eyes.
A minimum of 4 people is required for the trip and whether that’s a family, a work team or a group of friends, all are welcome. Whatever your dynamic, I’m excited to share this wonderful day out with you.
I have an intimate knowledge of the area and will inform you of where we are, give details of the environment and its history and point out the notable landmarks to really immerse you in your surroundings.
If you are doing the 3 peaks challenge of the Lake District (where you ascend the three highest peaks of Skiddaw, Helvellyn, and Scafell Pike-all over 3000ft), you may feel that the experience of a seasoned mountain guide is a definite advantage. Sign up and I’ll be happy to guide you on the best routes with the most breathtaking views.
The trip is open to beginners but you should feel comfortable walking between 5-9 hours often at an incline. You will need to carry a backpack and be prepared for adverse weather conditions.
After ascending Scafell Pike hundreds of times and in all weather conditions, I am still enamoured by this ascend and would love the opportunity to share this gift of nature with you.
Sign up now and I will be waiting to lead you safely up and down the mountain in this wonderful day of exercise on England’s premier mountain.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
