1-day Loen Via Ferrata to Mt. Hoven, Nordfjord

The steep hillsides of Nordfjord in Norway are tremendous. A true wonder to gaze upon, they are even more incredible when seen up close and climbed. And on this full day adventure, you will get to do just that, while traversing the Loen via ferrata all the way to the summit of Mount Hoven (1.011m).

The Loen via ferrata can be challenging at points. The hike as well as the via ferrata itself is arduous. As a result, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition and have prior experience in a similar environment.

There are a number of great highlights that you will get to experience on this trip on the Loen via ferrata. One of those highlights is the incredible Gjølmunnebrua suspension bridge. The bridge, at 120 meters long, is the longest via ferrata bridge in all of Europe. And because it rises 160 meters above the canyon below, the views, while dizzying, are astounding. Another highlight is the hike itself, which is full of great views of the natural landscape and will take about 1.5 hours. It will also take you to an altitude of approximately 440 meters. And finally, you will get to enjoy a beautifully scenic ride on the Loen Skylift. This comfortable ride will take you back down from the summit of Mount Hoven.
