Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to run through the Apuseni Mountains over 7 days. Join one of our experienced guides exploring awesome routes while taking in some of the best scenery.
We’ll cover hundreds of kilometers of terrain on this week-long adventure. We’ve carefully chosen routes that not only are great fun to run but which also let you take in some great tourist attractions in these mountains.
We also want to keep you on your toes, so, you’ll get to experience both stone trails and grass paths. All our guides are accredited and experienced so you can be sure that you’re in the best hands!
The places we’ll visit include the beautiful natural reserve of Piatra Grăitoare and the Bihor Peak. The landscape here is filled with all kinds of colorful landscapes.
During the nights, you’ll stay at the Skipass boarding house which, complete with green spaces and outdoor terrace, sauna and swimming pool, is the perfect place to relax.

Day 1: Vârtop Route - Bihoru Peak
21 km with a 1,200 m altitude difference ran over approx. 2 – 3.5 hours
Day 2: Varttop Route - Rusty Cave - Galbena Gorges
19.5 km with a 1,350 m altitude difference ran over approx. 3 – 4.5 hours
Day 3: Vârtop - Glăvoi - Cave City Rădesei - Padiş - Vârtop
43 km with 2,340 m altitude difference ran over 5- 7.5 hours
Day 4: Vârtop - Bihorul peak - peak chicken (Cross Avram Iancu)
52 km with a 2,460m altitude difference ran over approx 6 – 8 hours.
Day 5: Scarişoara Circuit Route
37.5 km with a 1,950 m altitude difference ran over approx 4.5 – 6 hours
Day 6: Bears Cave Route
26 km with a 1,700 m altitude difference ran over approx 3 – 4.5 hours.
Day 7: The Focu Viu - Ponorului fortress circuit
26 km with a 1,750m altitude difference ran over 4 – 5.5 hours.

Thanks Lucian for an amazing trip in the Făgăraș mountains, he was very skilled and flexible with regards to shifting conditions. Although we did not reach the peak due to bad weather, he made up a new route and I got the full 2 days regardless. Would strongly recommend to people with a little bit of hiking/climbing experience at least. Bring warm clothes, gloves and headwear!
