Description

The Tian Shan range boasts stunning and unexplored mountains, perfect for a heliskiing adventure. On this 8-day tour, we will set off from Bishkek to find the best untouched powder in Jergalan, Issyk Kul.

The Issyk Kul region gets its name from saline Lake Issyk-Kul which is located high up in the Tian Shan range. Jergalan is a stunning mountain valley to the east of this region and a great starting point for our heliski days.

In this program, we will pick you up at Manas International airport (Bishkek) and transfer to the base at Karkara. Then, on the following days, we will have the chance to spend an exciting time out in the mountains, skiing on untouched powder snow in some amazing spots.

Please keep in mind that you will need prior skiing experience to join this adventure. Furthermore, you will need health and transport insurance. Of course, we will be there to help you every step of the way to make sure you have the best time on your heliskiing adventure.

So, are you ready for an 8-day heliskiing adventure in Kazakhstan? Then book your place and join us!

Mountain Guide

Based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I’m an IFMGA-certified guide and the technical director of the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association (KMGA). I'm also a certified mountain guide and mountaineering instructor, and a “Snow Leopard” — having summited all five peaks over 7000m in the former Soviet Union. I’ve received extensive training in Switzerland and I’m a certified rescuer (carrying out rescues up to 6800m).

Ski touring and mountaineering are my two biggest passions and I love sharing these activities with my clients. I specialize in high altitude and technical ascents, heliskiing, backcountry camps and avalanche courses.

I’ve stood on the summit of a 7-thousander more than 20 times — including Lenin, Korjenevskaya, Communism (Somoni), Pobeda and Mustagh-Ata, among others. I’ve also participated in ski mountaineering expeditions to Lenin Peak and Mustagh-Ata and several 4-thousanders around the world.

I’ve also been organizing my own avalanche courses since 2009 and was in charge of translating materials on the Russian risk reduction method Nivocheck. I speak English and Russian.
