When the snow covers Andorra, it offers some of the best places for winter sports. But it is once the snow has melted and the green takes over, an incomparable beauty rises here. And it is precisely then, when you can practice sport climbing, one of the most fun activities anyone can do!
Sport climbing is simply a type of rock climbing. Unlike the traditional rock climbing techniques, it relies on anchors that are permanently fixed on the rock. So, the protection for the climber is fixed as well, instead of being removable.
Moreover, this amazing sport offers a more convenient ascent, using less equipment. And less technical skills are needed. Thus, it puts the emphasis on the strength, gymnastic ability and endurance over risk.
However, you will still need to learn some basic techniques. So, this trip combines some of the best spots, with all the information and practice you’ll require to master this amazing activity.
Some of the things you’ll learn in this 2-day course are:
Basic climbing vocabulary
Basic techniques and climbing moves
Material and specific equipment: how to use it and how to maintain it
How to tie the basic climbing knot
How to use the harness and ropes
The “top rope” technique
Please note that in order to join this trip you need a good physical condition, as the day will be long and you’ll require physical strength. The total course lasts 10 hours, spread in both days.
So if you are looking to get into this sport but you don’t have any experience, this is the perfect trip for you! Send me a request and join this sport climbing adventure in Andorra
