In the province of Granada, we will find beautiful natural parks that are ideal for practicing canyoning. This activity involves descending through a river’s canyon using different techniques, such as hiking, jumping, sliding, swimming or rappeling. For this, it is important to use the proper equipment -provided by me on this tour and included in the price- and bring your hiking boots.
On this area, there are several canyoning possibilities with different levels of difficulty. Río Verde is situated in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almiraja y Alhama Natural Park and it is one of the best canyons in Andalusia. It combines jumps with rappels and is surrounded by a gorgeous natural environment with crystalline waters.
To take part in this activity, it is not necessary to have prior experience. This is a beginners program. However, keep in mind that it is important to know how to swim.

I have been practicing mountain activities since I was a child, with my family. Since then it has been my passion and now it is my job. I have been working as a mountain guide for 20 years in Sierra Nevada and in the natural parks that surround Granada.
In winter I offer ski classes for all levels and off-piste skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing, guiding you along the best routes in the region. In the summer I offer canyoning and trekking in Sierra Nevada.
I hold the official degrees to guide you in each of the activities that I offer, with the AEGM, UIMLA and ISIA certifications. In addition, I have a strong sports knowledge as a Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sport.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
