Description

There are a number of fantastic places for canyoning throughout Spain, and the Sierra de Guara is definitely one of the best. And for one, or several days if you wish, I would like to guide you to some of the best spots in the area.

Full of adventure, fantastic views and access to some genuine adventure, you can’t go wrong with visiting the Sierra de Guara in Spain. Within the Sierra, the most popular ravines include Peonera, Formiga, Gorgas Negras, Mascun and more. Each one of these ravines presents its own set of advantages and experience. For example, Peonera is an aquatic descent that has several jumps, while Mascun is long and demanding, with plenty of rappels. Other great areas you can enjoy during this trip include the Petit Mascun ravine, the Vero River Canyon, the Fornocal Ravine and the Gorgonchon Gorge. However, you can rest assured that regardless of whichever one you choose, you will have an amazing time canyoning on them.

While this trip is not excessively difficult, it does involve a lot of physical activity. As a result, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition.

If you are looking for some great canyoning opportunities in Spain, you can’t go wrong with the Sierra de Guara. The selection is as exciting as it is varied. To see for yourself, just send a request. I know you’ll have a great time.

Would you like to enjoy some family friendly canyoning in the Pyrenees? Then join me on this trip and choose from a number of fantastic options.

Mountain Guide

AEGM Mountain Guide from Spain

Passionate for mountains since I was a kid, at 14 I started climbing in Atxarte (Vizcaya) walls, thanks to some friends. Later I discovered other activities such as canyoning, skiing and ice climbing, which allowed me to enjoy mountains both in summer and in winter.

I travelled around Europe, USA, India, Peru, Marruecos, among others, with the excuse of climbing some peak, wall, or doing some canyoning.

I've been a member of the 'Young Alpinists Technification Team' of the Basque Mountain Federation, and after gaining experience in all mountain disciplines I left behind my job as electronic technician to become a guide in order to pass on my passion and knowledge to others.
