Description

I invite you to join me in this 3-day canyoning adventure in Lesachtal! We will have fun in the fantastic waterfalls and amazing steep sections of the area.

The valley of Lesachtal is located in the state of Carinthia, in Austria. The area offers great spots for our canyoning tour! We will go to the Obergailer creek, and we will find a beautiful water torrent there. The best area, with amazing waterfalls and steep areas is Goldbachklamm, also known as the Canyoning Tour.

Besides, the Millnapsenklamm (Sonnentanz) offers a good climbing tour. We will enjoy a sunny and open wonderful view of the Lesachtal valley. And in only an hour and a half we will be able to reach the beautiful gorges of Friuli and Slovenia.

We will stay at the comfortable Hepi Lodge, in Liesing. On the first day, we will meet there and plan our tour for the following day.

On the second day, I will go step by step over the most important rules and movements during canyoning. Then, the adventure will begin! You can check the itinteray below this text.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome-Tour planning

Welcome at Hepi Lodge. Equipment check. Dinner and tour planning, depending on weather conditions and water level.

Day 2: Introductory talk-Canyoning

After breakfast, we will take our own cars to the start of the tour, where we will start with an introductory talk. I will go step by step over the most important rules and ways of movement (walking, slipping, jumping & abseiling) during canyoning. Then, we will set out in our planned canyoning tour. After the tour, we will end the day comfortably at the Hepi Lodge.

Day 3: Canyoning

We will take our own cars to the start of the tour, where we will repeat our talks from the previous day. Then, we will start our canyoning tour. Return to the hepi Lodge. Coffee and end of tour.

I’m a IFMGA certified mountain guide and a nature lover. I was born in 1983 and I studied Cultural and social anthropology at the Vienna University.

Mountains, water, cultures have been always my passion. That’s why I’m a mountain, ski, canyoning and rafting guide, also a ski instructor and a snowboard enthusiast.

Helene and myself are the owners of the Hepi lodge. A space for mountaineers, climbers, skiing enthusiasts where besides offering the accommodation service we proposed varied programmes of different activities: rock climbing, ski touring, canyoning, hiking tours.

I guide most of my time in Lesachtal Valley: St Lorenzen, St Jakob, Birnbaum, Karnische Alps and Lienz Dolomites.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
