Join us on one of the Great Walks of Australia as we hike through the classic Freycinet Peninsula trail over four days. We’ll explore the beautiful Freycinet National Park and discover the best of the Tasmanian bush.
On this trip, we’ll hike on average for 6km per day. The hikes are not technically difficult but you will need a moderate level of fitness. We’ll finish every day at a comfortable lodge so you’ll be able to get the necessary rest you need for another day of hiking. We’ll also be able to enjoy awesome local food and wine.
Our adventure will start in Hobart when we pick you up and drive to the picturesque beach town of Coles Bay. This will be our base for the whole trip. Over the four days, we’ll explore classic sites like Wineglass Bay where we can even have a swim. We’ll also get to walk through lush plant life and walk along beautiful beaches.
This really is one of the best hikes in Australia, take this opportunity to experience it.
While you’re in Australia, you do not want to pass up the chance to hike around Ayers Rock. Check out our 1-day hiking trip to this wonderful monolith here.

Day one will be spent exploring Coles Bay town. We’ll also take a boat trip to Schouten Island where we’ll be able to hike up to Bear Hill. In the evening we’ll enjoy some good food and wine.
On day two we’ll take a boat to Cook’s Beach before starting our hike to the top of Mt Graham and then down into Wineglass Bay. Here we’ll get the opportunity to traverse the Quartzite Ridge. You can even go for a swim in the bay. When we’re done we’ll return to Coles Bay.
Day three takes us to Bluestone Bay, where we’ll climb the cliff tops and follow a track used by the Indigenous Oyster Bay tribe. Along the way, we’ll take in the beautiful Tasmania plant and animal life. We’ll finish the day with a walk along the beach before we head back to our accommodation.
Our last day will be spent hiking to the Saltwater Lagoon and Issac’s Point. We might see some pelicans and black swans. If you want you’ll be able to squeeze in a swim at some point. At the end of the day, we’ll drop you back to Hobart.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
