Join us on yet another adventure in the Dominican Republic, where we’ll take a tour of Higüey city and the nearby countryside on e-bikes! It will be fun to roll on scenic trails on this day trip.
We’ll pedal on rustic tracks through farmlands. Passing through rural villages, you’ll catch a glimpse of the lifestyle of native people. We’ll stop at a local shop to try some refreshing lemonade and regional snacks. You will clearly feel the difference between the bustling city life and the relaxed country vibe on this day trip.
There are a variety of routes available, so whether you are a veteran mountain biker or a novice, we have you covered!
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana, Cap Cana or Uvero Alto and drive you to Higüey. Upon arrival, we’ll hand over your e-bikes, brief you about the safety measures and you are ready to roll!
The trail leads to one of the most famous cathedrals in the city, the Basilica. We’ll also visit one of the oldest Spanish parish churches and a historical site, which was rediscovered recently. You’ll hear some interesting stories from the past as we ride past the ruins of an old sugarcane mill.
It is a 20 km route which offers stunning views of Higüey and the surrounding lush mountain range. And, since you’ll have e-bikes, it will be an effortless ride and you’ll glide like a pro on these country roads.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
