Description

Tryfan Mountain (915m), with its pointed structure, is one of the most iconic and scenic peaks in the famous Snowdonia National Park in Wales, UK. Famous for its craggy peaks, its over 100 lakes and views over to Ireland, Snowdonia’s mountain range is a hiker’s paradise.

Tryfan peak dominates the horizon in the stunning Ogwen Valley and this ascending walk and scramble provides the hiker with a nice level of challenge without being overly exhausting. Those with a reasonable level of fitness, who are able to hike for several hours in changeable weather conditions, are encouraged to sign up.

We will follow the famous north ridge that rises from the valley towards the twin pillars of Adam and Eve and this will provide you with adequate challenges, scrambles and spectacular viewpoints along the way. The route down will be less steep and easier on those tired legs.

Local tradition says that on your first Tryfan climb you must jump from pillar to pillar. However, being located 3000 feet up and on a cliff’s edge, we won’t make this compulsory!

Join me now on this exciting day out in the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia and you won’t forget it!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
