Description
The Cayman Crystal Caves is the Cayman Islands’ newest nature tourist attraction. They are located inside a thick tropical forest in Old Man Bay, in Grand Cayman. Ready to explore them? Then follow us on a beautiful guided walking tour.
On this tour, we’ll take you to three different limestone caves: an open-ceiling cave, a roots cave, and a lake cave, and we’ll teach you all about their history. The Cayman Crystal Caves used to be underwater and, when the tides changed, Pirates would use them for hideouts and for shelter. Legend has it that there are still treasures hidden there. Over time, and with the filtering of rainwater, they were transformed into impressive and unique caves full of dazzling stalactite and stalagmite formations.
After exploring the caves, we’ll stroll around the forest that surrounds them to discover the unique flora and fauna of the place. We might spot strangler balsam trees, air plants, parrots, and bats.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
