Description

Join us on this hiking day tour, starting from Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, and discover the natural beauty and diverse coastline of the Lahemaa National Park, in the north of the country.

Located  70 kilometers east from the capital, Lahemaa National Park is one of Europe’s biggest national parks. It was created to preserve and promote North-Estonian ecosystems, unique landscapes, and rich heritage.

We will take you to explore the Estonian countryside, home to beautiful pine forests, wetlands, bogs and a varied coastline. During this day hike we will also visit different places, learning about Estonia’s people and history.

This hiking adventure takes you on a unique hike through the Viru bog, hiking along a unique wooden trail over the wetland. Bogs are mysterious locations, very popular in the Estonian folklore. On summer days, bog lakes invite you to swim, if you are brave enough!

We will also hike through charming small coastal villages, like Altja and Käsmu, visit the biggestt waterfall in the country, enchanting forests and old manor houses, like Sagadi or Kolga. Along the way, we can have lunch and enjoy typical Estonian dishes.

Just send us a request if you want to join us on this day hike! We will spend a great day out in and around the Lahemaa National Park in northern Estonia.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
