Description

Located in the beautiful northern state of Himachal Pradesh, between Pir Panjal and Zanskar, Miyar Valley is a spectacular place worth visiting. The valley is plush with scenic sights of dry-towering peaks and rugged, arid terrain, typical of the district of Lahaul Spiti. Join us as we take you to climb some of the rocks and ridges in this valley in India.

Extending about 100km from the small city of Udaipur towards the Kang La Pass, the valley is still majorly unexplored. There are several wonderful granite towers and ridges with easy access here. In fact, three new routes on three new peaks were paved sometime back in 2011 by an Austrian couple.

We can extend the trip from one day to many depending upon your skill level and preference. Several climbing routes of varied grades are available here. Also, there are numerous towering peaks of up to 6300 m. We can either choose to climb one or both the sides of Torro Peak (4800m) or scale the Trident Ridge. Four seasons, Gutzele Peak and Kurt Albert Peak are few of the other routes we can mount. We can also go for the famous Shangrila Ridge, which forms a beautiful line hovering on the valley.

The options are many. So is the flexibility. And, regarding difficulty, keep in mind that the routes are of intermediate level. Hence, it is recommended to have some previous climbing experience and a fit body. Rest, we will be there to guide you at every step and make the trip enjoyable.

So, if you have what it takes to climb these remote and towering ridges in Miyar valley, then send us a message now. We will be happy to guide you on this adventure of rock climbing in India.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
