Mount Thabor boasts an altitude of 3,178 m (10,427 ft), and is part of the beautiful Massif des Cerces in the French Alps, in the Savoie and Hautes Alpes region. This pretty peak is great for ski touring and is surrounded by the Valloire, Valmeineire, and Vallfréjus (Modane) resorts.
On this adventure, we will spend three days in the mountains and enjoy the beautiful wilderness and ski environment. We will explore the region, enjoy some great runs, and share an exciting and fun winter experience! You can find a detailed itinerary below.
Keep in mind that you will need prior skiing experience and a good fitness level to join this program. Of course, we will be there to help and guide you on the way!

Meet up at the train station at Mondane. Meet up with the guide then we’ll head to the cable cars at Punta Bagna in the minibus. From the summit, we’ll descend onto the col de Frejus before ascending the Argentiere (3046m) before descending into the stunning valley at Fonfroide. There’ll be a short uphill passage with ski skins before getting set up at the hostel.

Breakfast before heading to Mont Thabor (3178m), the col des méandes and the Chapelle du Thabor. There are stunning panoramas over the massif des Cerces and the Savoies. From there, we’ll head in the direction of the narrow valley with a long and breathtaking descent via the le lac blanc. Between the Cerces and the Haute-Maurienne, the ambiance is sure to be extraordinary.

Breakfast before heading to the Col de Fontaine Froid which takes us back in the direction of the Maurienne. Before we can get some rest, there’ll be one last descent to the departure point.
