I promise this half-day of mountain biking I will guide you on around Santa Elena, near Medellin, will be an absolutely brilliant and lovely experience, as we traipse and travail around the gorgeous Colombian countryside in Arvi Park, passing through lush green forest and woods, vast and expansive meadows and fields, and mesmerizing waterways and lagoons, all whilst taking time to admire the ancient ruins that dot the landscape.
Arvi Park is an ecological nature reserve located on the outskirts of Medellin, Colombia, and is a very popular tourist attraction due to its outdoor activity locations and flora and fauna such as wildflowers, butterflies and trails. There are also many ancient ruins and buildings remaining from the pre-Hispanic period.
We begin our day in the city of Medellin, and from there we head to Santa Helena via a stunning cable car ride that provides epic views back over the city.
Once in Arvi Park we being riding as soon as possible, beginning in the Forest of Mist, containing large amounts of greenery and the peaceful sounds of birds chirping.
We continue through the forest, as the scenery changes from woodlands to the large potato fields and meadows, leading up to a small mountain containing yet more awesome views over Medellin.
We then enter a section containing ruins from the Tahami tribe who inhabited the area nearly 2000 years ago, including an old schoolhouse ruin.
The last part of our adventure is at the Guarne Lagoon, an alluring and idyllic place where Tahami people would undertake religious ceremonies.
We finish our day back in Medellin, immensely happy and satisfied at having ridden through this slice of South American paradise.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
