Situated just south of the French border, the stunning Vall de Nuria is the perfect spot for canyoning in the Pyrenees!
We will be heading to Nuria Canyon, a particularly popular spot for intermediate and advanced canyoneers in this picturesque part of the Catalan Pyrenees.
After meeting up at 9:30 am in the nearby town of Queralbs, we will make the short drive to the trailhead and enjoy a scenic hour-long hike to the entrance of the canyon.
Once at the lip of the canyon, the fun begins as we rappel down into it. The next four hours will be spent exploring the canyon, going down slides, jumping, swimming and rappelling even more.
For those who do not want to jump (which is the hardest part of the trip), we can rappel down the walls instead.
Regardless of how you choose to go, you are bound to have a blast exploring this scenic and unique part of the Pyrenees.
When we arrive at the end of the canyon, we'll have a quick half-hour hike back to the trailhead, change into dry clothes and return to Queralbs.
