Description

The Caribbean island nation of Jamaica offers an exciting variety of terrain that is excellent for exploring via mountain biking.

The island is home to steep and challenging terrain that tests the legs while on the incline. Yet you will also experience soft and loamy trails, as well as muddy and sandy ones.

One of the gems of Jamaica is Blue Mountain Peak, which at 2,256 meters is the highest in the country, and one of the highest in the entire Caribbean. The entire elevation gain is done in less than 10 miles (16km), which makes it one of the steepest gradients on Earth.

Oracabessa is a beautiful town perched on the northern coast that has inspired some of the greatest artists with its tranquil setting.

The sleepy village of Ocho Rios offers all of the tropical adventures that it promises. Wonderful waterfalls, lush gardens and relaxed rivers that gently pass by.

Robin’s Bay enjoys 3 beaches, a collection of waterfalls and superb coastline trails in what is one of the final chunks of undeveloped land on the coast.

Most of the trails stretch back generations, which have been used for walking between communities for hundreds of years, so you’ll be passing through historic territory that forms the rural arteries of the nation.

Peddle past the wildlife that wander among the spectacular scenery, like herds of cows, goats and donkeys.

Get in touch now to reserve your place in the gorgeous coastline wilderness of Jamaica for a 1+day mountain biking adventure.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
