Description
Offering multi-pitch routes on solid rock, the slabs of Temple Crag offer an exceptional Hong Kong rock climbing experience. Join us as we take you on a fun day to climb these non-taxing rocks to see stunning views of Lantau Hills, Pui O beaches and the rural area of Cheung Sha.
Located on beautiful Lantau Island in Hong Kong, Temple Crag involves multi-pitch abseil as a part of the approach. The crag supports several routes which vary in length and difficulty, making it apt for first-timers, beginners as well as advanced climbers. No doubt it is popular among climbers!
We will begin the trip by heading to Lantau Island, onto the Crag. Once there, we will hike to the top of the rock face. The climbs here are different than other climbs as these are accessed from the top and involve an initial abseil before we can start the climb.
From the top, we will brief you about the abseiling technique and depending upon the route, you can abseil 2 pitches or 4. Once down, we will begin to climb up.
The top offers open vistas of the beautiful Lantau Hills. It would be a good idea to enjoy our lunch here. After taking in the pleasing vistas post-lunch, we will descend and head back to the city, ending this interesting trip.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
