Enjoy running in one of the largest urban forests in the world on this half-day program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the Tijuca Forest is a tropical rainforest that includes a big section of the Transcarioca Trail. On this tour, we will discover this fantastic route, one of the most popular ones for the local runners.
With an aproximate extension of 18o kilometers, the trail allows to contemplate beautiful natural areas and some of the cultural and historical spots in the city.
As for the itinerary, we will meet in the morning and enjoy around 4 hours of trail running, according to the group’s level. We will face an elevation gain of +598 meters and -948 meters and cover a distance of 14 kilometers. Finally, we will end the program in Pacheco Leão Street and Jardim Botânica Street.
Please, take into account that this tour’s level is upper moderate, so it is important to be in a good physical condition.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
