Quiero invitarte a escalar el Eiger (3970 m), ¡una montaña emblemática en los Alpes Suizos!
¡También, es mi excursión guiada favorita! Ofrece vistas impresionantes. Cuando escalamos la arista de Mittellegi, veremos majestuosos glaciares a la izquierda. Además, los hermosos prados verdes de Grindelwald a la derecha. También tendremos la oportunidad de mirar hacia la famosa e icónica Cara Norte del Eiger!
La escalada al Eiger está calificada como D, con secciones de roca de Clase V o S. Necesitaremos piolets y crampones para escalarla. Comenzaremos desde la estación de tren Eismeer (3159 m) en un acercamiento por glaciar. El sendero está muy expuesto a caídas de rocas y hielo.
Aunque el mayor peligro de esta escalada es cruzar bajo el Eigerjocher hacia el Refugio Mittellegi (3355 m), una vez que pasamos el Eigerjocher, el ascenso es por roca de clase V, conduciendo a una travesía fácil hasta el refugio.
Luego, la escalada continúa a lo largo de un filo afilado. Usaremos cuerdas ancladas para aferrarnos si necesitamos. De esta manera, podremos asegurarnos y tirar de ellas. También encontraremos nieve y hielo en la arista de la cumbre hacia la parte superior de la montaña.
Luego, descenderemos hacia Eigergletscher (Cara Oeste), o haremos una travesía hacia Jungfraujoch vía Eigerjocher D.
Es importante notar que una vez que hayamos comenzado la escalada, no tendremos la opción de volver atrás. Esto significa que estamos comprometidos a escalar hasta la cumbre. En el Eiger, las condiciones pueden cambiar rápidamente y siempre existe la posibilidad de caída de rocas y hielo mientras ascendemos.
Nos llevará unas 4 a 5 horas alcanzar la cima, y el mismo tiempo para bajar. No descenderemos en rappel, por lo que debes ser capaz de escalar hacia abajo de grado 3-4. ¡Siempre aseguro a mis clientes con cuerda corta por velocidad y seguridad!

Itinerario
Día 1: Interlaken o Grindelwald/ Refugio
Nos encontraremos en Interlaken y conduciremos hasta Grisalp. Haremos una caminata hasta el refugio Gspaltenhorn. La otra opción es encontrarnos en Grindelwald y hacer una caminata hasta Glecksteinhut.
Día 2: Gspalthenhorn o ascenso al Wetterhorn
Hoy escalaremos el Gspaltenhorn y regresaremos a Interlaken. Otra opción es escalar el Wetterhorn y regresar al refugio Gleckstein.
Día 3: Refugio Mittellegi
Tomaremos el tren hasta la estación Eismeer para subir al refugio Mittellegi.
Día 4: Ascenso al Eiger-Grindelwald
Escalaremos el Eiger a través de la arista de Mittellegi y regresaremos a Grindelwald.

Mountains have been a part of my life since childhood. I started doing more serious mountaineering expeditions at the end of high school after successfully completing all levels of mountain climbing courses. In the last 10 years, I have been at least on one expedition every year. I climbed in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, the USA, Scotland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France, Swiss, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Tibet and Nepal.
I completed my training as a mountaineering guide and became a full member of the IFMGA family.
I enjoy climbing both Slovenian and foreign mountains.

The route I climbed on K7 West was rewarded with Piolet d’or recognition for mountaineering achievements in the world.

We succesfully climbed Jungfrau and Monch with Nejc and his collegue Martin. It was a fantastic experience. Both were very helpfull and professional during our trip. The mittellegi ridge was unfortunately not possible due to the weather (too much snow) the mittellegi hut was closed. Instead, we drove to Zermatt for some better weather conditions en climbed Matterhorn until Solvay Bivak, a memorable experience. Thank you Nejc and Martin for a wonderful trip!
