Description

If you’re searching for your first 4,000-meter climb, then this trip provides the perfect opportunity to conquer one of the greatest and scenic summits in the Alps.

Breithorn (meaning broad horn) is a peak in the Pennines that stands at the border between Switzerland and Italy. The summit offers incredible views and an exhilarating ascent. Stretching to 4,165 meters, the snow-capped and glacial route is one of the most climbed of the Alps. It is a popular mountain for climbers who wish to go on their first 4,000-meter climb.

Breithorn stands close to the famous mountaineering town of Zermatt. The climb is not too steep and doesn’t require any previous knowledge if you go with a certified guide. Despite the technical ease, this 4,000-meter peak should not be underestimated. The alpine climate, altitude, and crevasses all present challenges on the mountain. In addition, potential participants are required to have a good level of fitness and stamina in order to make the climb both fun and safe.

Mountain Guide

I started climbing at the age of 12 with the Club Andino in Argentina. From these first weekends in the mountains I felt the passion growing in me, and knew from this start what I would do later on. The dream came true, I became a Montain Guide. Ever since I have been traveling around the world, always searching for mountains to climb; continuously surprised by sunsets and unique sunrises… For many years I guided arrownd Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre range, south of my beloved Patagonia. Now a days my playgrownd is moslty in the heart of the Alps and Patagonia. I try to make each experience special for my clients, adapting to your level and sharing this unique feeling. Come, live big!

First of all a big thank you to Jeremais. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the area and always upbeat and friendly. Before the trip his communication was great. Always happy to answer any question, and done in friendly and upbeat manner. Just after booking the trip I was in a bike accident which left me off my feet for six months. Once my foot was better I managed to do about 100km of hill walking to prepare. Being honest, my level of fitness was not quiet there for the challenge. Being only a 400m climb I definitely underestimated how strenuous it would be. The altitude combined with melting snow really did take it out of me. Even so, Jeremais was able to keep pushing me to keep pace and got us up and down safely. All in all it was a very enjoyable trip with a great guide. I will definitely make sure my level of fitness is higher next time I tackle a 4000m peak.5
Jeremias was the best guide we ever had. He really took care of my family the whole time to get the top of the breithorn. He has a wealth of experience and love for the mountains and is so easy to get on with. An excellent guide. I would highly recommend. 5
