Guides (Christian, Raul, Musta) were great and our group all achieved our climbing goals: some to the top, some higher than they thought they could go. 5

I felt incredibly safe in the hands of Johannes. Incredibly patient. He would do regular check ups and could read how I was doing and also had a way of pushing me when I needed it. One of the raddest peaks I’ve done. Also I know he wasn’t an official guide but Pacifico was rad! Shout out to Paci! That man is a beast in the mountains. 5
Tough but totally worth it!5

3Summits were extremely helpful and professional! The guides are also very passionate about what they do, and it shows. I went into the mountains before but rarely have I had such great support. Also, Pico de Orizaba's glacier and the views from the summit are so unique. Would give 5+ stars if possible.5

Great trip, company did a great job overall5
3Summits is great and I highly recommend them. I signed up through Explore Share. Alvaro set it up, Karla handled logistics, Chris was my guide, and Pati did a superb job handling everyrhing on the actual trip. I changed my mind about everything (dates, volcano, number of days on trip, private or shared guide) and they were patient. Karla was totally on top of everything and efficiently provided extra services (rides for example) that were a little pricey but worth it for me to feel safe and have things be easy. I finally decided on Pico, 3 days. The extra day was nice, I stayed at my guide's Bed and Breakfast type place, close to the volcano, that included hot showers and excellent home cooked food. It probably helped to acclimatize. My guide Chris was great, quiet but he did tell me he thought I could do it when I was thinking I couldn't and he was right, I did. He has done it a couple hundred times and although it was very windy and I thought I might get blown off he kept me tight and I didn't. Great experience.5

We had an awesome time! All of the guides were nice and the food was great. We pushed through pain and suffering to the summit and our guide supported us the whole way, and took a bunch of great photos too. 5

Our guide during the ascent of Pico de Orizaba was amazing. Supportive, encouraging, empathetic.
Angel during the ascent of Malinche was alright, although he seemed more focus on his individual performance than on us.
Plus, it would have felt more comfortable having the same guide for both ascents.4

From the outset, communication was outstanding. Every detail was clearly laid out in advance—gear requirements, timing, altitude expectations, transportation, and contingency planning. There was no guesswork, which is exactly what you want when preparing for a high-altitude climb. Questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, and it was clear that this is a team that takes preparation seriously. The acclimatization climb on La Malinche was handled perfectly. The pace was deliberate and thoughtful, allowing proper adjustment to altitude while still making the climb enjoyable in its own right. The guides were attentive throughout—checking in regularly, adjusting as needed, and sharing insight about the terrain and conditions. It felt purposeful, not rushed. By the time we moved on to Pico de Orizaba, everything was dialed in. The logistics were seamless—transportation, lodging, meals, and timing all worked together so the only thing left to focus on was the climb. That level of organization makes a real difference at altitude. Summit day on Orizaba is where the experience of 3 Summits Adventures really stood out. The guides managed pace, safety, and decision-making with confidence and precision. The glacier section, in particular, was handled with clarity and professionalism. At no point did anything feel uncertain—just a steady, controlled push to the summit. What sets this team apart is not just that everything went smoothly—it’s that it was clearly designed to. The guides are not only technically strong, but highly communicative and genuinely invested in your success and safety. If you’re considering an acclimatization climb followed by Pico de Orizaba, I would highly recommend 3 Summits Adventures. It’s the kind of experience where the preparation, execution, and guiding all come together exactly the way you hope they will.

Alejandro, my guide, is exceptional. His ascent was inspiring to watch, and his passion for the mountains is what kept me going as we pushed for the summit. He is a very experienced, knowledgeable mountaineer and it was an honour to meet him, let alone climb with him. The rest of the 3summits team, Pati, Becca, Gabi, and others that I met along the way, were amazing. So kind, full of life, and took such good care of me while I was on the mountain. Cannot praise this company and the people that make it possible enough!
