We were disappointed with the guide for a few reasons. Firstly, he changed the date of our hike after we had already booked/confirmed, so we had to change accommodation and travel plans. On the day of the hike, he did not arrive until midday, so we started our hike at 1pm on a 40degree day. He also brought a friend on the hike. We were unable to complete the summit, but the guide and his friend went off and completed the hike, leaving us alone for half the second day- meaning we could not do any further exploring and had to rush down the second afternoon, after spending the day in the refuge. Would not book again.

Dimitris is a great guide. He knows everything about hiking and climbing. We really enjoyed being with him in the Olymp mountains. An amazing experience!

Hiking Mount Olympus with Dimitris was an extraordinary experience and pleasure. He is not only an extremely experienced, knowledgeable and passionate mountaineer but a charming, caring and dedicated person with whom we felt safe and comfortable during the entire trip. Dimitris shared his experience, gave valuable insights and tips on how to improve our hiking/ climbing skills and how to get most of the gear we used. Despite technical aspects he created a wonderful atmosphere full of fun and great conversations so the time passed quickly and efficiently during the hike. He listened to our needs, expectations and limitations. We could easily trust him, as he explained the plan for 2 days, responded to all questions and provided clear overview so we felt included and well prepared. All these created an enjoyable and memorable experience that for sure we would like to repeat together with Dimitris as our guide on other Greek mountain trails. Thanks Dimitris and see you next time!!!
