Moniteur d'escalade

Mon nom est Guillaume. Je suis un moniteur d'escalade certifié dans les Calanques, proposant des programmes avec guide de Marseille à Cassis et partout en Provence.

Je suis passionné d'escalade depuis mon enfance. J'ai été initié très tôt à l'escalade grâce au club de montagne de ma ville natale, Villemur sur Tarn, un petit village du sud ouest de la France. J'ai eu mes premiers cours sur le rocher de Saint Antonin Noble Val, dans les gorges de l'Aveyron.

Lors d'un programme entre amis, j'ai découvert Marseille et surtout son parc national. La beauté des paysages, le soleil, la mer, et le nombre infini de voies d'escalade m'ont totalement séduit ! Après une année déjà prévue au Québec, j'ai décidé de valider mon diplôme universitaire en informatique. J'ai postulé à la dernière année de Master Informatique de la Faculté de Luminy et je me suis installé à Marseille.

Ma passion pour l'escalade est devenue mon métier quelques années plus tard, suite à une reconversion professionnelle. Plus de 10 ans après, je vis toujours à proximité de cette belle région que sont les Calanques et l'escalade sous toutes ses formes reste à jamais une passion.

Guillaume was great! Felt just like going climbing with a friend. He was able to suggest a nice classic route that was shaded all morning on Cap Cainalle and due to his knowledge of the area and route we climbed efficiently, finishing six pitches with time to spare before the sun hit the wall. We climbed Deux Vauriens Troits Canailles, I found the route to be classic with sustained climbing around 6a on all but one pitch, well protected, and due to the nature of the cliff allows one to experience limestone, sandstone, and conglomerate, and interesting rock and features including a roof, cave, and chimney. 5

Guillaume was amazing! Very friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Chose a great route for my skill level and was a pleasure to climb with! Luckily didn't need any help or anything, but could tell he was very prepared for anything to go wrong.5
