I will take you on an unforgettable adventure! It will be a group of **6 people with 2 guides**, with **18 hours of flight time** in 6 days. **The programme is designed as a ski-safari** and therefore it's organized day to day, depending on the conditions. Our aim is to find the best spots for skiing and enjoy exploration in the spectacular Caucasus Mountains.

Mount Elbrus lies in the Southern Russian Federation, near the border with Georgia. The base camp of this trip will be in the **Karachay-Cherkess Republic of Russia,** located in North Caucasus.

During these days we will explore **a large area stretching from Arkhyz to the famous Dombai ski resort**, one of the most popular ski bases in the Caucasus range.

This unforgettable trip has everything a heliskier needs: amazing powder, verticality and altitude, all gathered at the heart of a wild and spectacular environment. If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-path heliskiing trip, this is it!

I invite you to join me on **a unique 6-day heliskiing trip in Arkhyz, a small hidden paradise in the Caucasus Mountains, in Southern Russia.** This incredible tour combines skiing on fantastic slopes, amazing powder and **accommodation in a historic house** of the former URSS government.

We will enjoy great skiing in alpine terrain during the day, under the giant peaks of the Caucasus, and return every day to **our comfortable accommodation, the Datcha Gorbachev**, an imposing and opulent stone house with spacious rooms hidden at the heart of ancient pines. This was actually a former state residence, used by **the first president of the USRR Mikhail Gorbachev**.

**Arkhyz is a village in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia**, in Greater Caucasus, about 70 km from the Black Sea coast. **The quality of the snow is truly remarkable at this altitude**. We are able to enjoy abundant snow here thanks to the proximity of the Caspian and Black Sea.

We take **a group of 6 people on this trip, with 2 guides**, in order to ensure the best experience for you. It will be 5 incredible days of skiing with **11 hours of helicopter flight time.**

We will enjoy maximum comfort at the Dacha, surrounded by history. The helicopter will be in the garden of the house, allowing an easy departure and landing every day. An **Ecureuil B3, the star of mountain helicopters,** will give us access to the most steep and remote places in the mountains.

Arkhyz 6-day heliboarding tour in Greater Caucasus

Join me between January and March for some unique heli-skiing in the **Caucasus** around some of the highest peaks of Europe: **Mount Elbrus (5642m)** and **Mount Kasbek (5033m)**.

The total skiing area is about 2000 square kilometers. An average vertical drop is 800m, the drops can be till 2000m. There is no restriction on landings. The skiing zone begins from 5 till 15 minutes from the hotel.

For the flights we use Eurocopter AS350B3e and Aerospatiale SA315B Lama, which enable skiing in little groups and getting into the most hard-to-reach places.

One guide will take up to 4 clients. One helicopter can operate with 3 groups at once, so the highest possible number of participants is 12.

All the guides have the international certificate **IFMGA / UIAGM** and know the skiing zone perfectly.

All the participants are given all the necessary avalanche equipment and are taught to use it.

To give you an idea on the price, it should cost around 6700€ per person for a 6-day package including the accommodation (4-star hotel), food, airport transfer, 14 hours of flight, the safety equipment (ABS airbag, avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe) and the mountain guiding assistance.
