Aside from the cenotes in the nearby tropical rainforest, there are plenty of other great places to explore on a mountain bike. Among these is heading on a day-long tour of the Isla Mujeres, which sits just off the coastline of Yucatan. Here, mountain bikers can ride along more stunning beaches and visit an ancient Mayan temple as well.

Back on the mainland, there are plenty of other great cycling options. One of the most popular is to head to the small resort town of Tulum and go on a cycling tour along its coastline and through the surroundings.
