More Info

Egypts offers the possibility of combining adventure and culture, with unique different programs. You can immerse yourself into history as you run, climb, learn to kitesurf, go windsurfing, sandboarding or cycling. You can take a camel trek in the desert, scuba dive the Red Sea, hike amazing canyons, climb Mount Sinai or Mount Catherine (2629m), Egypt’s highest peak, or go on a cruise trough the Nile River. Visiting colorful bazaars or drinking tea with bedouins in the desert are some of the many wonderful ways to discover this fascinating destination.

Good to Know

Egypt’s climate is extremely dry and very sunny. The “winter” months are sunny and warm, with very occasional rain. The Sinai's region weather is very hot and dry, with significant differences in temperature between day and night. Despite very warm and sunny weather throughout the whole year, in winter times the desert areas might become cold.

Getting there

Cairo International Airport is Egypt’s main entry point, but there are other main airports in Sharm El Sheikh, Alexandria and Hurghada. For a rock climbing trip, the best option would by flying in Sharm El Sheikh, then getting a taxi to Dahab (1 hr) or to St Catherine (2,5 hr). Or drive/bus from Cairo (9 hours).

Best time to visit

October to April, when the weather is at its coolest.
