In Nepal there are different climates according to altitude: the temperate climate of low mountains, the sub-tropical climate with a rainy season in the southern flat strip, and the cold climate of the Himalayas. Rainfall is abundant during the summer monsoon (June to early October). Kathmandu has a mild weather, with hot summers and cold winter nights.

Getting to Nepal usually includes a flight into Kathmandu’s international airport. Although there are no direct flights from USA or Europe, you can fly directly from New Delhi, Doha, Istanbul, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Bus access is also available from India.
October-November offers the best weather conditions and it is high season for mountaineering, therefore accommodation prices increase. Spring (March-April) is also a good time to visit, with warm weather. Try to avoid monsoon season (June to September)
