Rock climbing in Nepal is a challenging sport for outdoor lovers. That’s why I invite you to organize a **climbing trip** to one or several places in my country.

Most of the areas for rock climbing in Nepal are located in the north of **Kathmandu** and near the city of **Pokhara.** There are also some great spots in the **Everest region,** like Nagarjun Balaju, Hattiban, Nagarjun, Chomorong and Khumbu.

In addition to this, you can combine a climbing trip to any of these places with other activities outside the city area in Kathmandu. Hiking, bird watching and nature tours are some of the options.

Therefore, here are some of the places I recommend for rock climbing in Nepal:

**Bimal Nagar**

Rock climbing in this place is relatively new. Besides, it’s on the way to **Pokhara**. Not only there is a very good rock wall for climbing, but you can also enjoy the views of **Mount Manaslu** and **Marshyandi River.**

**Hattiban**

This is a spot for **professionals.** Actually, you can enjoy top grade climbing in eight different routes. Hattiban is 15 km away from **Kathmandu valley**.

**Khumbu**

A great spot with fascinating rock climbing. It also has amazing views of the Everest Region.

**Nagarjun**

It has twenty routes and is the **best place for beginners.** However, it also offers routes for intermediate climbers, as well as professional ones. Furthermore, all routes are well bolted. Nagarjun is 3 km North West of Kathmandu valley.

In all cases, the cost of the trip will depend on the program and the number of days. You should also take into consideration that this trip is available all year round, except during monsoon season (June, July and August).
