The sheer size and scale of the United States means there is an overwhelming amount of terrain to splitboard on. Some of the terrain is extremely isolated and remote, owing to the low population density of many states, making for pristine and untouched conditions. There are plentiful mountains in places such as the Mid-West and Alaska, including some of the highest peaks in North America.
