Join our experienced guide for this exciting and scenic day of rock climbing on the basalt cliffs just outside of Reykjavík!
After picking you up from your accommodations at 9:00 am, we will drive outside of the capital for about 20 minutes. Once we arrive, we will take the gear and hike from the trailhead to the foot of the basalt cliffs.
Depending on your level of skill, there are a multitude of different bolted multi-pitch routes that we may chose to take.
Iceland is a truly unique and beautiful country. As we climb, there will be plenty of chances to look out over the plains and toward the North Atlantic Ocean.
Once we have arrived that the top, we will stop for lunch (which is not included in the price) and eat with a sublime view of the ocean and our capital city as well.
After our day of climbing has concluded, we will head back down to the trailhead and drive you back into Reykjavík, where you will be free to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of our lovely capital city.

What happens to my booking if the weather or conditions are bad?
In case it is not possible to operate the tour due to weather or conditions, we try the following things:
Move the tour to a different date if that works for you, and change to a different activity if you agree. If none of the above is possible and we have to cancel the tour due to weather or poor conditions, we will refund you the tour.
What is the best season for rock climbing in Iceland?
Rock climbing is a summer activity available from May to October. This activity is highly weather-dependent and not possible when the rock is wet or when it is raining. If you are interested in rock climbing outside of the season, it is possible if we have really good weather days. Please contact us for further information.
Do I need any prior experience to participate in your rock climbing tour?
No prior experience is needed for single-pitch rock climbing. For multi-pitch climbing, it is advisable that your climbing level is at 5.7-5.8, and you have to know how to belay a lead climber.
Do you offer a pickup service?
In general, we only meet our guests on location or carpool from a central location in Reykjvaík. However, if you do not have your car and can not meet us on location please get in touch.
