Asgard-Beyond was created by a group of old friends who had worked together in the tourism industry for many years. All 5 of us (Ragnar, Robert, Jon, Gardar and Asdis) are fully certified AIMG guides, while 2 are certified rock climbing guides by ACMG and take care of rock climbing programmes. Even if we all have different background and ambitions, we share the same vision when it comes to providing our clients with a safe and memorable experience.

##### Well known for great outdoor activities, Iceland is full of fantastic spots to enjoy. And on this full day trip, you will get to enjoy ice climbing on the spectacular Solheimajokull glacier.

This trip will last **approximately 10 hours**. The trip will begin at **approximately 8:00 am**, when we pick you up from your hotel in **Reykjavik**. From there, we will drive for **2 hours to the Solheimajokull glacier**, which is located near the **southern coast of Iceland**. Once there, based on your skill level, we will choose the perfect site to climb. And because the glacier is so large, there are sites for people of all levels. And at the end of the day, we will transport you back to your hotel in **Reykjavik**.

The scenery around **Solheimajokull** is incredible. And during our glacier hike you will get to soak in the tremendous glacial environment that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Along with making sure you have a great time, we will also help you learn the **basics of ice climbing**. Some of what we will instruct you on includes **anchor building**, **belaying**, various **ice climbing techniques**, **communication** and much more.

While this trip is open to people of all levels, because of the physical nature of **ice climbing**, it is important that you are in **good physical condition**.

Join our experienced guide for this exciting and scenic day of rock climbing on the basalt cliffs just outside of Reykjavík!

After picking you up from your accommodations at 9:00 am, we will drive outside of the capital for about 20 minutes. Once we arrive, we will take the gear and hike from the trailhead to the foot of the basalt cliffs.

Depending on your level of skill, there are a multitude of different bolted multi-pitch routes that we may chose to take.

Iceland is a truly unique and beautiful country. As we climb, there will be plenty of chances to look out over the plains and toward the North Atlantic Ocean.

Once we have arrived that the top, we will stop for lunch (which is not included in the price) and eat with a sublime view of the ocean and our capital city as well.

After our day of climbing has concluded, we will head back down to the trailhead and drive you back into Reykjavík, where you will be free to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of our lovely capital city.

 This fantastic day out provides the experience of a lifetime ski touring on a choice of one of Iceland’s most beautiful Volcanoes. Choose between Snæfellsjökull  or Eyjafjallajökull, you are truly spoilt for choice!

Located on the western coast, Snæfellsjökull is a 700,000 year old glacier capped volcano that provides wonderful touring conditions and breathtaking panoramic scenery on the ski down. You will cover about 5km hiking and gain roughly 1200m in altitude over 3 hours. This ancient volcano peaks at 1446m providing stunning views.

Eyjafjallajökull is situated on the south coast and covers a volcano elevated at 1666m. Famously erupting in 2010, this volcano gives expansive views over the black sand beaches and Eyjafjallajökull’s crater. We’ll hike about 4 hours, covering 8km and gaining 1600m in altitude to reach the summit where we’ll enjoy spectacular views before skiing back down.

We can decide which volcano to visit depending on the weather conditions and your preference. On the ski down either volcano you can expect varied conditions from icy to hard packed to powder. On both trips you will be given a safety induction regarding avalanche and crevasse rescue and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable with everything you need to do.
