When it comes to the finding the best places to ski, Megeve has consistently ranked at the top of every list. As one of the first resorts in the French Alps, it also prides itself on being one of the most luxurious and accommodating.

Located in the Haute-Savoie region of Southeast France, the area looks up to some of the most infamous peaks of the Alps, including Mont Blanc, Aiguille des Glaciers, and Grandes Jorasses. With so many greats in the French Alps, it should come as no surprise that the ski touring area around Megeve is at the pinnacle of the sport.

The resort alone has over 400 kilometers of skiable terrain, which means lots of opportunities to head out of bounds and enjoy some ski touring. Some of the most popular areas are off the Mont Joli chairlift, which includes the exhilarating Backside du Mont Joli. There are plenty of other great options that will allow us Alpine bowls, tree-lined runs, open glades, and a few steep drop-ins. Megeve has it all, and we can explore everything during your program.

Your program will give you run after run of untouched powder in the exciting ungroomed terrain without compromising access. I will show you my favorite places around Megeve, skinning to exciting thrills and deep into the backcountry for more ambitious participants. Let me know what you are looking for in your itinerary, and I will design a trip around your needs and abilities. If one day just isn’t enough, we can extend your program to suit your schedule and enjoy more time on the mountain.

You should be in good shape and be a proficient skier who is comfortable being in challenging terrain for an entire day. As always, a passion for skiing and fun is always an asset when coming to Megeve and the French Alps.

About the Guide

I was born in 1990 in Lus la Croix Haute, a small village nestled between the Vercors and the Dévoluy, and right on the border of 3 French departments: Isere, Hautes Alpes and Drome.

I started practicing mountain sports at a very young age: skiing first and then then mountain biking. At the age of 7, I started ski touring on the trail just above my house with my father and my sister. And then, a few years later, I gave my first steps in ski mountaineering: Pelvoux traverse at 9, Dome de Miage on skis at 10 and the Meije traverse at 12.

I've always enjoyed competition and started competing in ski mountaineering since I was very young. I've won Pierra Menta twice and the World Championship four times.

Becoming a mountain guide has always been my dream and I'm very happy to see it come true. I have also started paragliding recently and I hope to be able to combine it with my mountain guiding business one day.

I currently live in St Nicolas de Véroce in Haute Savoie. My father's family comes from this village and it is here that I learned to ski. It holds a dear place in my heart and it is here that I feel most at home.
