Zederhaus lies in the region of Lungau, the mecca for ice climbing fans. With its abundance of water and steep cliffs, it’s fertile ground for flourishing ice tours.
The valley is continuously connected by countless trickling streams and waterfalls. As the weather drops and winter begins, nature creates an enormous playground of ice ready for touring.
Because of the large swaths of ice on offer, climbs vary in difficulty from easy to challenging. This opens the region up to anyone who wants to experience the exhilaration of ice climbing.
Whether you have ice climbing experience already or want to try it for the very first time, there are ideal ice spots for your own level.
With Lungau lying at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, its geographic position makes the region colder than others. This ensures quality ice climbing experience.
Potential participants for this ice climbing trip need to have a good level of fitness in order to fully enjoy the trip safely.

Growing up in Salzburg's Lungau, the passion for nature, the mountains and all the associated sports possibilities accompanied me already from an early age.
The versatility of the mountains, summer and winter, shaped my life. No matter if freeriding, ice climbing or in the summer with sports and alpine climbing I am constantly trying to improve myself, to discover something new and to share this joy and my experiences as a state certified mountain guide to my customers.
Furthermore, I have registered a wood arts and crafts. I only use and prepare wood, which I find myself on my tours and activities and form furniture, sculptures, interiors Architecture studies in Innsbruck.
Klaus was an incredible guide. He knew exactly what he was doing. And he was great fun to talk to. I can only but recommend him! 5/5. Thanks for the great adventure Klaus!
