2-day Alpine Rock Climbing Tour in North Iceland

Join our experienced guide for this amazing 2-day rock climbing adventure among the Northern Spires of Iceland!

We will pick you up at 8:00 am, either at your accommodation or the local airport, on day one and get right to it. Once we have met up, we will drive for about an hour until we are underneath Hraundrangi.

After we arrive at the foot of this magnificent basalt spire, we will climb two pitches with relative ease and be on top of this volcanic creation. After enjoying the spectacular views afforded to us at the top, we will rappel down, enjoying more of the view as we go.

The next day, we will head out early for our main objective of the trip: Kerlingareldur. The approach to the base of this basalt spire takes us about three hours of hiking through the mossy landscape and rugged mountains of the region. Once at the spire’s base, we will have a six-pitch moderately difficult climb ahead of us.

The views will be completely worth it, as we will be able to see all the way out to the Arctic Ocean. After enjoying lunch and the views from the top, we will head back down and drop you off either at your accommodations or the local airport.
