Description

Have you ever wanted to bike in beautiful Italy? Then join me on this 2-day bike tour in Venice!

Quarto d’Altino is located in Venice, Italy and is strategically located between the Venetian lagoon and Adriatic Sea. The area is completely flat, traffic-less and peppered with excellent food and wine, making it a great route for a bike tour.

We will enjoy 2 days of traffic-less bliss in the region in Venice, first making our way from Quarto d’Altino to the medieval town of Treviso, and then through the Sile National Park to the Adriatic Sea. There is so much history and culture to take in as we cruise through the area, and we will be able to stop and try great local foods and wines, and view some old historical sites. And no vacation would be complete without a fantastic dip in the white-sand beaches of the Adriatic Sea.

While this bicycle route is quite easy, I ask that participants be in good physical shape before signing up.

Request to book this trip if you want to have a biking adventure in the Venetian countryside!

Itinerary

Day 1: FROM QUARTO D'ALTINO TO TREVISO (and back)

We will depart in the morning from Quarto d’Altino and make our way to Treviso (and back) throughout the day. On the route we will ride along the banks of the picturesque river Sile, coming across “Burci” graveyards and traditional Venetian transport barges used for hundreds of years, and still visible after being submerged in the river for decades.

The cycling path that will lead us towards the medieval city of Treviso is flat, separate from the main roads and is traffic free.

Day 2: FROM QUARTO D'ALTINO TOWARDS the SEA

We will leave in the morning from Quarto d’Altino and bike towards Sile Natural Park. We will bike towards the Venetian Lagoon and the Adriatic sea, along the flat, traffic free cycling path. Going all the way towards the sea you will reach white beaches and enjoy well-deserved spritz before wrapping up for the day and returning to Quarto d’Altino.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
