Situated in the northwestern corner of Italy, freeride skiing in the Aosta Valley is the best way to see this picturesque part of the Alps!
Based on the southern slopes of Mont Blanc, we will head out each day to a different part of the massif, enjoying plenty of incredible runs on pristine snow.
As we go, we’ll take in many different and incredible views over the snow-capped mountains, glaciers and valleys of the French-Italian border. In the evenings, we will return to our cosy accommodation and enjoy some Italian cooking.
Over the course of our time together, we will ski on the slopes above Courmayeur, do some freeride skiing at La Thuile / La Rosière, traverse the Toule glacier and even ski through Vallée Blanche and on to Chamonix.
Among the numerous highlights of the trip will be traversing the glacier. After using rope and a suspended staircase to climb out onto the glacier, we will drop down to the other side and ski to Entrève (1300m). Here, we will enjoy simply stunning views out over Mont Blanc before skiing back to our accommodation.
Another incredible day will be when we climb Mont Valaisan (2892m), which takes about 1.25 hours. At the top, we’ll enjoy immaculate views into the Aosta Valley before plunging back down to the base of the mountain on some of the best powder in Western Europe.

After meeting up at a pre-determined location, we will head to the slopes on the La Thuile / La Rosière and enjoy some warm up runs.
We will head up to the highest point in Courmayeur, at 2763m, and either ski down to Val Veny (1500m) or the Dolonne village (1200m).
We will spend the day making a stunning descent down the Pontailles valley, before climbing up to Mont Valaisan (2892m) and skiing into the Moulins valley.
We will take the cable car to Entrèves and ski down through Vallée Blanche and on to Chamonix.
We will head up to Helbronner Point and ski on to the col de Toule via the Col des Flambeaux. From here, we will ascend on to the glacier and ski on down to Entrève.
We will spend the morning skiing around Courmayeur, on the south face of Mont Blanc. Afterwards, we will return to the starting point of the trip.
