The rugged mountain range of the Hohe Tauern stretches across Austria and consists of the Central Eastern Alps.
The national park covers approximately 100 kilometers of the mountain chain, which makes it the largest national park in Austria, as well as the largest nature reserve in the entire Alps.
Home to iconic mountain peaks, the Krimml Waterfalls, which include the highest in the country at 380 meters, glacial valleys and flourishing green forests.
This epic 7-day trek begins in the Venediger mountain range, part of the main ridge of the Hohe Tauern. It is the home of Grossvenediger, which at 3,657 meters above sea level, is the premier peak of the Hohe Tauern.
The alpine trails that wind and carve through the valleys take us through premium pristine beauty of the Alps.
Like a giant bird of prey, you’ll capture stunning views from above, looking down into the valleys and smaller mountain peaks.
We’ll maintain a steady hiking altitude range between 2,000 and 2,500 meters above sea level.
