Would you like to discover some of the best winter sports spots in the Aravis Range? Then join us on this 6-day program and enjoy freeride skiing in La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornard, Les Montets, and other top locations in the region.

On this 6-day adventure, we will explore the Aravis Range and look for the best freeride skiing options in the area. Below, you will find a tentative itinerary.

In terms of physical preparation and technical ski skills, you will need to be physically fit and be a good skier in all snow conditions. Throughout our ski days, we will tackle slopes which may include some short steep sections and 45mn – 1h / day of skinning. Of course, we will be more than happy to help and guide you every step of the way. Do not hesitate to ask us if you have any doubts about your preparation for this adventure!

Itinerary

Day 1: Freeride Skiing Warm-up in La clusaz - Aiguille Massif

Welcome in Briançon or at Annecy train station. Meet the guide and leave for the adventure! We will choose to ski on the La Clusaz routes to get in leg, do the safety exercises and see how the seal skins work for those who do not know. It’s the first day, relax, the setting up, the distribution of the equipment can take a little time, but don’t worry, skiing, you will do it all week! No pressure, we get to know each other. At the end of the day, transfer to our accommodation.

Day 2: Freeride Skiing in Balme

Unlimited freeride skiing possibilities on this gigantic and so famous domain, there is something for all tastes, forests, long slopes, what to ski until you are full! On the return, we will enjoy the Spa of the hotel before going to rehydrate with a good beer.

Day 3: Freeride skiing in Grand Bornand

To change the horizon, we will “test” the Grand Bo ‘runs as the locals say. Mont Lachat, Col des Annes, this small resort well known to families will give us all its secrets during big forest runs.

Day 4: Freeride day in Grand-montets

It would be a shame to spend this week without going to do some legendary runs at Grand-Montets. We will put the skins a bit to get the slopes in condition and with a little luck, ski descent to the village of Argentière, we will eat the drop!

Day 5: The slopes of Brévent

Well we will spare you the boat sentences on the splendid view of Mont-Blanc but we will rather tell you about the sustained runs where we will ski in great curves like the slopes of the hotel or the secret runs connecting the areas Brévent and Flégère. With short ski approaches on the shoulder, we will simply spend a dream day.

Day 6: In the footsteps of Candide Thovex

We cannot close this week without a last day at La Clusaz. The Etale massif reveals its secrets from the Combe Creuse to the Bell Tower. Don’t worry you’re going to end this week full. At the end of the afternoon, we bring those who take the train back to Annecy train station and return to Briançon. End of the freeride ski trip.
