Description

Azumino is a city located among the picturesque valleys of the Japanese Alps in Nagano, in the heart of the countryside of Honshu, the central island of Japan. The town boasts a unique combination of natural beauty, together with interesting history and culture.

I invite you to join me on a half-day guided bike tour in former Hotaka, a town that is now part of Azumino. The modern city of Azumino was established in 2005 by merging the towns of Hotaka, Akashina, Toyoshina and 2 other villages.

We will meet at the Hotaka station, at the bike rental shop, and from there our biking adventure begins. From the Matsumoto Station, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get to the Hotaka station.

We will enjoy the stunning scenery of the North Japan Alps, passing by historical landmarks and even tasting pure spring water. The tour will take us about 3,5 hours.

So send me a request if you want to join me and discover the natural beauty of Hotaka. Join me and enjoy a wonderful biking tour in Nagano.

About the guide

guide profile img

I love nature. I love cycling, hiking and climbing.

I have worked in Canada, joined the MTB race in Africa, and traveled to Central America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Everywhere, I've tried to see as much nature as possible. Nature is so different in every country and I find that immensely moving.

I believe that Japanese mountains are one of those places that you must visit at least once. Since Japan consists of small mountainous islands, you can experience many different landscapes almost at once - cities, small villages, flat lands with beautiful rice fields (rice is the foundation of Japanese culture), lush forests, green mountains and rocky mountains.

Nagano is the most mountainous prefecture in Japan and best place to see nature and go hiking and biking. That is why I now live in Nagano, helping world travelers enjoy the nature and culture of Japan.

Come visit Japan and have special experience in Nagano with us.
