Description
Situated in the southernmost reaches of the Catalan Pyrenees, Barranc de Boixols is the perfect spot for a half-day canyoning adventure!
Starting from the idyllic village of Boixols, we will head to the trailhead and make a short, but scenic approach through forests and meadows to the mouth of the canyon.
Once at the edge of the Barranc de Boixols, we will put on our gear and begin rappelling, jumping (this is optional), sliding and water trekking through the canyon.
All of the necessary skills and techniques to successfully rappel can be taught at the start of the trip, making this the perfect activity for participants of all levels.
As we climb, jump and swim through the canyon, we can also talk about the ecology of the area and learn a little bit about this stunning part of Catalonia.
When our four hours is nearing an end, we will make a 30 minute ascent out of the canyon and back to the trailhead, where we will change into dry clothes and return to Boixols.

I am a mountain guide and climbing technician, I am a member of the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides (AEGM) Association recognized internationally.
I've climbed in the Alps, the Himalayas and South America. I have been working as a climbing guide for 12 years, doing initiation courses for beginners and guiding climbers to climb great walls and sport climbing.
I am an open, friendly, responsible and attentive person. My goal is to enjoy the experience of climbing and have a good memory because we will climb to the best places in Catalonia.
