Description

Looking for a trip to get started with canyoning? Discover the beauty of Hoz Somera Canyon on this 1-day program in Cuenca, Spain, and learn the basics of this exciting activity.

Situated in Serranía de Cuenca, a mountain range in the Iberian System, Hoz Somera Canyon is an aquatic canyon ideal for beginners who wish to join this program to enjoy jumping, swimming and rappelling!

First of all, we’ll meet in the Caserío de Vadillos in the morning and prepare the personal and group equipment. Then, we’ll approach the canyon and enjoy the descent. Take into account that the canyon includes rappels up to 15 meters. Before the rappels, I’ll tell you everything that you need to know in order to enjoy them safely. Finally, we’ll return to the cars and share a snack together.

On our canyoning adventure we will not only enjoy this fun activity, but also the beautiful scenery. In addition, we may have the chance to see an amazing animal in the canyon’s surroundings, the Griffon vulture.

This trip is aimed at beginners which is why it’s not necessary to have any previous experience. However, a good fitness level is necessary.

What people are saying about Pedro

Raquel

Pedro was so knowledgeable about the area, and graciously answered all our questions, even those unrelated to the hike. He was very kind in picking us up from Madrid for a small fee. He also took a bunch of photos of my husband and I during the trek, which I really appreciated since those are our only pictures together from our trip to Spain. I'd definitely recommend Pedro to anyone traveling to Madrid and interested in experiencing nature outside the city.
