The canyons and mountains are stunning scenic features, while its cultural history dates back thousands of years and is made of many various communities.

You can experience the natural thrill of this incredible wilderness on a captivating day hike to the highest point in the park, Emory Peak (7,625 ft). Your program takes advantage of the unusual topography to hike roughly four and a half miles to the top. We will begin our program at Chisos Basin, following the Pinnacles Trail to its rim. The last mile will be spent head for the summit via the aptly-named Emory Peak Trail. You will be enthralled with the West Texas scenery, including its engaging ascents along well-groomed trails. Paths meander across the Chisos Mountains, so bask in the outstanding vistas of the surrounding peaks. As you make your way to the top, you will be able to glance to the south and into Mexico.

The path is wooded and provides a bit of protection from the elements – without compromising the natural beauty of the environment. Lizards, snakes, and even deer will be nearby, so keep your eyes peeled for exciting creatures along the way. From the top, you can follow the majestic Rio Grande and even spot some of the many geological wonders below, like Santa Elena Canyon and Boquillas Canyon.

This hike is a fascinating and rewarding effort, so while a general physical fitness will help you appreciate this strenuous trek, it is open to everyone. Be prepared for some challenging sections.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
