Description

This day hike to the summit of Mount Bruce (1234m) in the Karijin National Park is an absolutely amazing, sensational and memorable experience, and I will guide you as we navigate this remote and desolate terrain, with the summit overlooking the red cliffs and rocks scattered about the landscape of harsh Australian bushland that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Karijini National Park is located in the Pilbara region of the state of Western Australia, 1055km North of the state capital city of Perth, and is the second largest national park in the state. The park is known for its traditional outback scenery and abundance of flora and fauna, with native animals such as kangaroos, echidnas, goannas and geckos roaming the land.

The trail to the summit of Mount Bruce begins with a gentler, less technical part of the path, allowing you to get to grips with the hiking conditions. As the path continues up, the difficulty increases, with the final part of the hike past the Marandoo mine site becoming much more technical and difficult.

Along the way there will be plenty of time to take in and admire your surroundings, with the epic expanse of the land often taking the breath away, the sheer size of the land and atmospheric, alluring nature proving an incredible sight.

Once we reach the summit we are exposed to sweeping panoramic views back out over everything, the red rock formations leading down to the typical outback shrubbery and vegetation, allowing us to ponder the epic scale of the Australian outback.

We then head back to the starting point, where our trip finishes, happy at the gorgeous sights we have seen.

Hiking to the summit of Mount Bruce is a stunning experience – book now to tick it off the list!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
